Sutton Stage 1 results out tomorrow!

Updated: Apr 5, 2023

Many of our students sat the Sutton SET a week ago and will be anticipating the Stage 1 results tomorrow. If you and your child are also waiting for the dreaded email we wish you the best of luck. The Stage 2 exam for boys will be shared for Sutton Grammar School and Wilson's School for the first time and will be held on Saturday 6th October 2018 (for those who are hoping to add these schools on their CAF in addition to Wallington County).

This is great news for the boys as it means only one Stage 2 exam sitting will be required. Note that Sutton and Wilson's will be using the results independently so the weighting of Stage 1 and Stage 2 results for the overall results will differ. For girls the Nonsuch and Wallington Education Trust Second Stage Entrance Examination (NWETSSEE) as usual will be shared for NonSuch and Wallingtons and will be held on the 29th September- so really in hardly any time at all.

Here's some stats for those interested taken from the Sutton Councils Transfer to secondary school booklet:

Boys:

Number of male candidates at Selective Eligibility Test for September 2018: 2874

Number of candidates at second stage test for Sutton Grammar/Wilson's for September 2018: 998 (35%)

Girls:

Number of female candidates at Selective Eligibility Test for September 2018: 2409

Number of candidates at second stage test for Nonsuch/Wallington Girls for September 2018: 965 (40%)

(Note that the numbers could be skewed based on some boys choosing not to sit for stage 2)

Good luck everyone - here's hoping for a call back!
